  • These ads were served by Google based upon recommendations generated by Yahoo.

Why was this ad served?

  • These ads were selected based on an automated analysis of certain words associated with your email message. Yahoo generates relevant keyword categories based on email content then compares them to a master list of advertising keyword categories maintained by Yahoo. If a match is found, a relevant Google ad may be served. These keyword categories do not contain user identifiable information.
  • Google will also receive your IP address and general information such as web browser and operating system versions.  Google uses this information, along with the keyword categories, to select an ad and for security and reporting purposes.  It will not use cookies in serving ads based on keyword categories passed by Yahoo.
  • In generating the relevant keyword categories, the contents of emails are not reviewed by a human and Google will not be able to scan or otherwise access the contents of email messages in any way.
  • These ads were not selected based on predictions about your interests resulting from your online browsing behavior but rather selected based on words appearing in that email message. Google does not use the keyword categories from Yahoo Mail to profile a user for interest-based advertising.
